“La Muerte” by E.Sainz de la Maza

This year at West Dean College Classical Guitar Festival, Earl S Marsh donated one of his guitars (photo below) to be raffled to raise funds for bursaries for promising young musicians. If you wish to apply for a bursary from the Edward James Foundation, contact the festival director, Andrew Gough, or go to www.westdean.org/college.

I was the fortunate winner of the raffle, and give my thanks to Earl for his generosity.

This fine concert guitar is known as ‘Celine’, and is made in the Torres tradition with a Spruce soundboard and Birds Eye Maple back and sides.
